Welcome to Energy of a Nation, the on-line immigration resource center for The Advocates for Human Rights.  Energy of a nation is part of the Building Immigrant Awareness and Support (B.I.A.S.) This year, the Advocates' is celebrating 25 years of advocating on behalf of refugees and asylum seekers, as well as educating community members about immigration issues. 

This site reflects our commitment to providing accurate, up-to-date information and resources about immigration and immigrant rights to educators, students, advocates, and community members. It
is our hope that by exploring this site, you will learn more about the issue of immigration, and become active in teaching others.

ESL Version of Immigration and Human Rights Fact Sheet

This fact sheet explains the specific rights that immigrants and refugees are guaranteed under international human rights treaties. In order to make this information more widely accessible, The Advocates has created versions in both English and Spanish that are more appropriate for those who speak English as a second language.

Migrant Rights Toolkit

This toolkit is part of a collection of human rights toolkits within our Discover Human Rights Institute. With a fact sheet, quiz, take action guide, and lesson plan, it is an excellent resource for anyone interested in finding out more about the rights of migrants under U.S. and international law, as well as how the U.S. is doing in fulfilling these rights.
